The company behind the Star Wars movies is trying to shut down a Lightsaber Academy operating in the US.
Lucasfilm has filed a law suit against a man called Michael Brown who they claim has been infringing trademarks by operating businesses called New York Jedi and the Lighstaber Academy.

Accordingto the complaint, Brown has "selling unauthorised Lightsaber classes which purport to teach students how to use Lightsabers and/or perform as Jedi".
Among other infringing activities, Lucasfilm claims that the Lightsaber Academy uses "a logo that is nearly identical, and confusingly similar, to Lucasfilm's trademark Jedi Order logo".
The company behind the Star Wars movies has served the defendants with multiple written notices to cease their unauthorised activities but they appear to have been ignored.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lucasfilm wants a permanent injunction and actual damages and profits or $US2 million in damages for each trademark infringed.
