Lorde is showing off a new look.

The 18-year-old artist, whose career has gone from strength to strength this year, swapped her trademark dark lipstick for a more ethereal look on the December cover of the UK Sunday Telegraph's Stella magazine, published yesterday.

It has a circulation of 405,000. With her voluminous curls tamed into a sleek mane and lashings of eye-liner showcasing her pixie-like eyes, the Devonport native channelled an elfin beauty.

The navy high-waisted pants and white turtleneck she sported for the women's fashion magazine shoot provided the perfect level of sophistication.
