By now it feels like we've exhausted every food trend option under the sun: whipped coffee, pancake cereal and baked feta pasta.
But now thanks to singer Lizzo there's a new "cereal" trend sweeping TikTok – but it's left people scratching their heads despite others saying it is addictive.
In a TikTok video that's since been viewed more than 5.3 million times, Lizzo shared her recipe for "nature's cereal" invented by plant-based eating advocate @natures_food.
"I'm trying the coconut water berry breakfast cereal. I had blueberries, strawberries, pomegranate, coconut water. I like ice with my cereal," Lizzo explained.
Trying the "cereal" Lizzo exclaimed "It's good!" but her followers in the comments didn't quite get the hype.
"Girl who forced you to do this," one person wrote.
"I know you did not just say that you like ice in your cereal," another said.
Others commented that the cereal was "just an unblended smoothie" and the "most healthiest cereal I've ever seen".
"That's just wet fruit," one person commented.
"(It) is literally just fruit salad in water," another said.
"So a fruit salad with water? I'm sure it's good girl it's fruit and water," one follower also wrote.
But others were convinced, with one person writing that it "looks bomb".
"I'm making me one," another said.
In response Lizzo made a second video, telling her fans they shouldn't "knock it till you've tried it".
"I'm addicted y'all, it's really so good," she said.
"I don't know what it is about the coconut water but it's like creamy and the pomegranate give you that crunch … and the blueberries, they put blueberries in everything – cereal, candy."
Soon others were giving the cereal a go – and were pleasantly surprised by the results.
"That is so refreshing, oh my god wow. The coconut water, there's something, oh wow," TikTok user @amberchardae said in a video.
Even Australia foodie account @cookingwithayeh gave it a go.
"So I saw Lizzo raving about nature's cereal, it was on my mind all night so I had to try it … really good," she said.
