Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was pulled over by police just after attending Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.

The 53-year-old WWE legend turned Hollywood megastar looked disappointed as he was stopped in his vehicle by cops and issued a ticket in Los Angeles.

As reported by TMZ, law enforcement sources revealed the traffic stop on Thursday was for tinted windows.

In California, there are strict laws around tinted windows, with the front sides having to let in at least 70% of light.

Rear windows can be much darker, but dual side mirrors are required and the tint on the windshield is limited to the top 10-13cm.

A first-time offence can carry a US$25 ($42) fine and an order to fix the issue, while a second offence can result in a US$200 penalty and an infraction.

In photos shared from the exchange, Johnson appeared calm as he stepped out of the car after speaking to an officer from inside the vehicle.

He looked stylish at the time in a cream suit and white shirt, having just come from the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

He was there to celebrate The Devil Wears Prada duo Stanley Tucci, 65, and Emily Blunt, 43, having starred with the latter most recently in 2025’s The Smashing Machine.

The pair were honoured in a double ceremony, with Blunt’s husband John Krasinski, 46, in attendance alongside her sister Felicity, 45, who is married to Tucci.

At the ceremony, The Rock gave a speech and joked it was “about time” the pair were recognised.

Speaking about Blunt specifically, he said: “Every single day, knowing Emily, as many of us do, that is one grateful woman who will wake up feet on the ground, being grateful about every moment.

“And those are all the things I think that make up Emily and so much more.”

Matt Damon, 55, also spoke at the ceremony and hailed Tucci and Blunt, who have returned alongside Meryl Streep and Anna Hathaway for The Devil Wears Prada 2, as “legends”.

He said: “I just can’t think of two people more deserving to be added to this cultural landmark, to be giving young artists hope.

“You guys have just been doing consistently stellar work for decades, and it is such a joy to watch you guys. But beyond that, you’re two of my favourite humans that I’ve ever met on this planet.

“You’ve been able to navigate and thrive in an incredibly difficult business with such grace, and you’ve been able to navigate personally and thrive so beautifully in a very, very tricky world. We love you so much.”
