Kim Kardashian pregnant with second child

Kim Kardashian is pregnant with her second child, reports E!, the channel which airs the reality TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

The reality star's pregnancy was revealed in a promo trailer following the mid-season finale of her TV show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

"I just got the blood test back and I am pregnant," Kardashian tells her excited sister Khloe in the clip, which has just gone to air in the US.

Karadashian and her musician husband West already have 21-month-old daughter North.

West and Kardashian have struggled to conceive another child since North was born. The couple turned to IVF for assistance, allowing KUWTK cameras to follow Kardashian to her visits with the fertility specialist.

Kardashian's best friend Jonathan Cheban sent his well wishes to the family on Twitter immediately after the news broke.

"Congrats Kim!!! Baby #2!!!.....," Cheban wrote.

Fans have reacted positively to the news, however, some have questioned whether baby number two would take the couple in a different direction when it comes to names.

"Kim Kardashian is officially pregnant and she better name her next child South," Lindsay Rinker wrote on Twitter.
