US pop star Katy Perry is visiting Australia as part of a world tour - and she's promising to announce New Zealand tour dates soon.
The singer today announced the Australian leg of The Prismatic World Tour in November, with seven shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane.
The29-year-old will jet into Australia next week to promote the tour and will make a television appearance in Sydney before pre-sale tickets are released on March 5.
"And don't worry, New Zealand... I'm coming to see you kiwis too! Dates announced soon!" the Roar singer tweeted.
Perry was last here in 2011 for two Vector Arena shows as part of her California Dreams Tour.
"Perry's Auckland concert was an attack on the senses, and wafts of Strawberry Shortcake scent filled the air an hour before she appeared on stage," said Herald reviewer Jacqueline Smith.
At one point during the show she screamed: "New Zealand I am so drunkenly in love with you"
Other big names stars rumoured to be visiting New Zealand this year include rappers Kanye West and Drake.
