Kiwi actor Karl Urban has made the ultimate sacrifice to secure his role in Marvel's upcoming superhero film Thor: Ragnarok.
The follically blessed Urban debuted his new 'do on Twitter revealing a bold new look.
Or should that be bald new look?
Urban, who is currently on the big screen as Bones in Star Trek: Beyond, has shaved his usually impeccably styled locks to go completely bald for his role as antagonist-turned-ally, Skurge.
It isn't the only big reveal from the San Diego Comic-Con, but it is the most startling. And the most visible...
While Marvel delighted attendees with a brief yet hilarious mockumentary showing Thor, played by actor Chris Hemsworth, adjusting to life in Sydney where the movie is currently being filmed, it has so far disappointed worldwide fans by keeping the footage under wraps.
They did, however, show off and release footage of the Hulk's gladiatorial armour, which all but confirms that Thor: Ragnarok will borrow aspects of the excellent Planet Hulk comic book storyline.
Fellow kiwi Taika Waititi (Hunt for the Wilderpeople) is directing the picture which is due for release next year.
