Kanye West's bizarre meet and greet with the President-elect at Trump Tower on Tuesday threw the internet into chaos, setting Twitter alight with possibilities.
The rapper, sporting his freshly bleached 'do, was spotted entering Trump Towerwith a large entourage and a videographer on Tuesday morning, nearly two weeks after beingreleased from hospital following his much-publicised meltdown.
Sending out a series of Tweets after the meeting - his first in several months - West declared that it was "important to have a direct line of communication" with Trump and that he wanted to discuss "multicultural issues" with the President elect.
West finished with a tweet simply stating '#2024' - which may indicate that his previously stated plan to run for President in 2020 has been put on the backburner for another four years.
Kim Kardashian West, who the future leader of the free world once publicly declared "has a fat arse," was not in attendance with her husband.
President-elect Trump and Yeezy emerged shortly afterwards and posed for a photo-op, as the awaiting press pool fired questions at them. Namely, what WERE they talking about?
Mr Trump's response: "We're just friends, just friends. He's a good man. Going well. Long time - We've been friends for a long time," he said. "Life, we were discussing life."
Kanye's answer: "I just want you to take my picture right now." Twitter had other ideas. A possible cabinet position? Performing at Mr Trump's inauguration?
The real story behind why the pair met was reportedly to discuss a potential role for Kanye, according to E! News.
A source close to the rapper told the publication he met with the President-elect to discuss becoming an "ambassador of sorts," adding that Mr Trump is interested in getting Kanye involved in an "entrepreneurial leadership role."
We're quite partial to this theory however.
It's Taylor Swift's birthday, but everyone's talking about Kanye at Trump Tower. Well played.
