Jemaine Clement has picked his dream cast for a Trump movie

Kiwi comedy legend Jemaine Clement is looking on the bright side of life, taking to Twitter today to create his dream cast in a fantasy Trump movie.

The tweets come after reports of potential collusion in the Trump administration after Donald Trump Jr. posted an email chain from last June which confirms previous reports that Trump Jr. was offered compromising information about Hillary Clinton from the Russian government.

While many - understandably - took to Twitter to lament the state of the US government, Clement took a decidedly lighter - and much funnier - approach, taking up a challenge to "cast the Trump collusion movie with Trump supporters".

The results are hilariously on the money.

Clement also cast Lindsay Lohan as Ivanka and Melania Trump and Kellyanne Conway - presumably in a reference to Parent Trap where she played two characters at once but who knows?

Either way, if a Trump movie does happen, hopefully Clement gets the call to be in charge of casting.
