Pete's Dragon will premiere in the US next week.
A special showing of the movie will also be held in Tapanui to thank locals who worked on the movie and helped out its cast and crew.
The movie's cast also includes Hollywood A-lister Robert Redford.
Last weekend Corden revealed he had teamed up with Kiwi comic Bret McKenzie, posting a picture of the two on Twitter with the message: "Loved being in the studio with Brett [sic] McKenzie last night! What a guy! X."
