48 hours of furious film making

Amateurs, enthusiasts and film making professionals gathered at Auckland's Civic Theatre on Thursday night to watch the regional finalists in the 'V' 48 Hours Furious Film-making Challenge.
Organised by industry stalwart Ant Timpson, the event saw more than 6000 competitors around the country race to make a shortfilm over the course of a weekend last month.
After a series of heats held in late May, 12 teams made the Auckland finals, with Mukpuddy names the regional winner for the animated horror Camp Fear.
The team will go on to compete agaiinst five other regional finalists and Peter Jackson's Wild Card picks in the final next month.
The final will be screened on Sunday, July 1 at 8.30pm on C4.
