Chart-topper Selena Gomez swept into Auckland yesterday for the one-gig New Zealand leg of her Revival World Tour.
The 24-year-old actress and musician - whose hits include Come & Get It, The Heart Wants What It Wants and Same Old Love - performed last night at Vector Arena, in frontof several thousand fans.
The show went ahead despite fears the pint-sized pop-star might be battling a cold after she posted a video of her online sneezing.
She captioned the Instagram post with the message: "When my babies take me salsa dancing, even when they told me not to because I'm sick. I don't care."
American pop star Joe Jonas and his band DNCE warmed up the crowd at Vector Arena before Gomez's performance.
Talking to the Herald on Sunday yesterday afternoon, the 26-year-old said he had spent time with Gomez on Friday night and "she seemed fine".
Jonas also spoke fondly of New Zealand, even though a previous visit - which he recalled as a "life-changing" holiday - almost saw him take a drunken tumble into Lake Wakatipu.
"I remember having a night where we went to a five star dinner and we spent good money to enjoy a 12-course meal," he said.
"I was just kind of coming into the age of learning how to really drink, so I was pairing everything with wine and I almost fell in the lake on the way back to the hotel.
"It was a memorable trip."
Jonas said he was looking forward to another big night out after last night's gig.
"Selena's putting a little thing together, a party of some sort."
The Jonas Brothers (Joe and his siblings Nick and Kevin) starred in a number of Disney films and TV shows when they were teenagers (Camp Rock, Jonas LA).
Gomez landed her first leading role as a teenager on Disney show Wizards of Waverly Place.
