First look at Batfleck in new Suicide Squad trailer

A new trailer for the latest action-packed DC Comics' blockbuster Suicide Squad has been released - and it gives fans the first taste of Batfleck.

The Warner Brothers' film, which sees a secret government agency recruiting super-villains to carry out black op missions in exchange for freedom, also stars Jared Leto as the new Joker.

Ben Affleck as Batman features briefly for the first time in the new trailer, which was shown at the MTV Music Awards yesterday (NZT).

Suicide Squad hits screens in the United States in early August and also stars Margot Robbie, Cara Delevingne, Will Smith and Viola Davis.

Margot Robbie stars as Harley Quinn in the new DC Comics' blockbuster Suicide Watch.

Affleck's debut performance as the caped crusader in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is currently in cinemas in New Zealand.
