"I was happy to get back to Fountain Lakes because we've got a faux Colosseum, we've got a faux Leaning Tower of Pizza - that's actually our pizza shop - and you know the coffee's better at Croutons By The Bay."
Kath and husband Kel (Glenn Robbins) said the film was a documentary home movie dreamed up in the bedroom.
"It's a bit of a feel good Shire," said Kath on the red carpet.
The girls arrived at the premiere in a Hummer with Kel, Kim's husband Brett (Peter Rowsthorn) and her long-suffering friend Sharon (Magda Szubanski), who sparkled in a gold glitter tracksuit, netball skirt and bib.
"I'm so excited I've got a bit of a case of hives at the moment," Sharon said.
"I've had some anti-histamine and Kim gave me a champers in the Hummer, so hopefully it will all work out."
Also on the red carpet were Sharon's love interest Wayne (Shane Warne) and celebrity TV host Ruby Rose.
