The couple have kept their sons mostly out of the public eye, sharing only rare glimpses of them over the years.
While there have occasionally been photos published showing the boys’ faces, most social media snaps uploaded by the parents have the boys with their backs to the camera or their faces covered, in what is believed to have been a years-long bid to protect their privacy during their younger years.
Fans were delighted to see a photo of the boys’ faces.
“What a gorgeous family!! Your boys are all grown!! So handsome! Wishing you all a very happy and healthy new year,” one person commented.
“Wonderful. Your boys are certainly growing up. What handsome young men. Happy New Year,” another Instagram user said.
In 2024, Elton John confirmed he had no intentions of touring again and he and Furnish said they wanted to be present for their sons.
“We’ve got our sons, you know, they’re getting into their teenage years now,” Furnish said at the time. “We don’t want to miss anything. We want to be present for that. It’s sort of a key decade, I think, in a child’s life.”
