Kesha filed the damning civil lawsuit against her former mentor earlier this week.
In a countersuit, Dr. Luke accused Kesha of defaming and extorting him, claiming the singer and her mother had threatened to go public with various stories about his alleged inappropriate behaviour unless he released her from the contract she signed with him when she was 18.
On Wednesday, Kesha's lawyer Mark Geragos revealed that his client was considering filing criminal charges against the producer.
In Kesha's lawsuit, the pop star claims years of abuse at the hands of Gottwald led to mental and self-esteem problems, which resulted in a rehab spell earlier this year.
Kesha spent 60 days at the Timberline Knolls rehabitlition centre earlier this year to treat an eating disorder.
