Deadmau5 swiftly took to Twitter and Facebook to have a pop at the Girl Gone Wild singer.
"Very classy there madonna. "HUR DUR HAS ANYONE SEEN MOLLY???" such a great message for the young music lovers at ultra," he posted on Facebook. "Quite the f'n philanthropist. but hey, at least yer HIP AND TRENDY! f***ing cant smack my head hard enough right now.
"I can appriciate her meteoric career, and all good deeds done, but WHAT THE F**K WAS THAT?" he added. "That's your big contribution to EDM? Thats your big message to ultra attendies? hipsterspeak for looking for drugs? f**k off you f***ing IDIOT."
He tweeted: "@MadonnaMDNAday You're a role model to 100's of millions. You have a powerful voice, EDM could use your positive influence, not 'molly' talk."
But Madge, whose latest album is titled MDNA, fired back with a response.
"@deadmau5 lovemaus5," she tweeted, linking to a 1989 black and white photo of herself dressed in Minnie Mouse ears, with a with a speech bubble which read: "From one mouse to another. I don't support drug use and I never have. I was referring to the song called Have you seen Molly? written by my friend Cedric Gervais who I almost worked with on my album."
Deadmau5 saw the tweet and replied, saying: "Fair enough, I was just voicing my concerns as I usually do. +1 respect for clearing it up personally ... regardless, just be a little more aware of what you should represent at EDM events, and I'll watch my mouth."
Madonna responded with a tweet, saying, "Communication is always best. You should have called me first, we could have cleared it up 'privately.' ;) See you on the road."
In the new issue of Rolling Stone, Deadmau5, has another pop at the 53-year-old singer.
"You wan't to be 'hip' and 'cool' and 'funky grandma'?" he said. "Fine. It's not my place to say you're irrelevant. If you're going to come into my world, at least do it with a little more dignity."
He continued: "I understand she has millions more fans, and is way more successful than I'll ever be. But it's like talking about slavery at a f***ing blues concert. It's inappropriate."
Deadmau5 also has a problem with DJ and producer David Guetta.
"David Guetta has two iPods and a mixer and he just plays tracks - like, 'Here's one with Akon, check it out!'," he said.
"Even Skrillex [a friend of Zimmerman's] isn't doing anything too technical. He has a laptop and a MIDI recorder, and he's just playing his shit ... People are, thank God, smartening up about who does what - but there's still button-pushers getting paid half a million. And not to say I'm not a button-pusher. I'm just pushing a lot more buttons."
That he is. And possibly one or two of Madonna's after dropping the 'G' bomb.
Meanwhile, her Madgesty has been turning heads on the set of her new music video in Italy.
The singer spent Monday in Florence shooting the video for her track Turn Up The Radio, surrounded by a bevy of hunky dancers - including her boyfriend Brahim Zaibat.
Madge, dressed in black leather hotpants, fishnet tights and lace push-up bra, was snapped hanging out with her boys while perching on the back of a convertible.
In-between takes, she couldn't resists putting on a bit of a leggy show for her Italian fans.
Angelina Jolie would be proud.
Someone get that left leg a Twitter handle, STAT!
