Chris Appleton files for divorce from Lukas Gage six months after Kim Kardashian officiated wedding

Chris Appleton has filed for divorce from Lukas Gage after just six months of marriage.

The 40-year-old hairdresser - whose clients include reality superstar Kim Kardashian as well as pop star Jennifer Lopez and Thank U, Next singer Ariana Grande - tied the knot with The White Lotus star Lukas, 28, earlier this year after just eight weeks of dating but they are now set to go their separate ways.

According to legal documents seen by TMZ, the couple’s official separation date is listed as last Friday November 10 and Appleton has cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason behind the split.

It has also been claimed that the former couple had a prenuptial agreement in place and an insider explained to the outlet that whilst the divorce was “not an easy decision for Appleton to make”, he had “tried everything” to make it work.

The former couple were reported to have tied the knot in a secret ceremony in April and The Kardashians star Kim, 43, is said to have officiated the proceedings.

The trio also attended the Daily Front Row’s Fashion Awards in Los Angeles around the same time, where Kardashian presented Appleton with an award.

A source told Page Six they said “I do” in front of six guests with the outlet adding Clark County records confirmed the couple had applied for a marriage licence.

Speaking on The Today Show, Gage said: “I feel very happy, very lucky, and very much in love. He’s a good-looking man. Something about being in London, I got a taste of the Brits and couldn’t help myself.”

That same month, British-born Appleton reciprocated Gage’s feelings as he noted that he was “very happy” in his relationship.

Speaking on The Kelly Clarkson Show, he said: “I’m very happy (and) very much in love!”
