Carrie Fisher's gory revenge after producer harassment

Even from beyond the grave, Carrie Fisher continues to be a one-off.

While Fisher's death last year robbed us of one of the sharpest wits in Hollywood, friends and associates continue to reveal tales of the star's generosity, with one screenwriter recalling a time when Fisher took her own unique approach to fighting industry misogyny.

Speaking to Tucson's 94.9 MixFM, screenwriter Heather Robinson revealed that while she didn't personally experience alleged harassment at the hands of Harvey Weinstein, she did receive unwanted harassment from another, unidentified Hollywood power player... until her friend Carrie Fisher came to her defence.

Two weeks after Robinson was harassed by a Sony executive, she received an email from the Star Wars actress that read:

"I just saw (blank) at Sony Studios. I knew he would probably be there, so I went to his office and personally delivered a Tiffany box wrapped with a white bow."

When Robinson asked what was inside, Fisher replied:

"It was a cow tongue from Jerry's Famous Deli with a note that said, If you ever touch my darling Heather or any other woman again, the next delivery will be something of yours in a much smaller box!"

Fisher, who died in December of last year following a heart attack, was a fiercely outspoken actress, writer and mental health advocate.

She had befriended Robinson in the late Nineties in an AOL chatroom, and encouraged her to turn her life story of growing up with a single mother into a script, which was eventually made into a 2005 film starring Hilary Duff.
