Ben Affleck's rehab treatment is said to be "intense".
The 46-year-old actor admitted himself into a rehabilitation facility for his alcohol addiction two weeks ago - after having previously completed stints in 2001 and 2017 - and sources say he's taking the process "very seriously", and is undergoing a rigorous
"counselling" program to make sure he gets the most out of his time in the centre.
An insider said: "Ben is there for as long as he needs to be. Like before, he is dedicated to beating this, and however long they feel he should be in, that is the time limit.
"Ben seems to be taking it very seriously. This isn't like the other rehabs he has done in the past. This is a residential program, and he is staying on property. He is not at the point where he has a lot of freedom or is able to leave. He is doing intense counselling and spending a lot of time in meetings and therapy. He also has time in his day to workout and spend time outside in the mountains."
The 'Justice League' actor was convinced to enter rehab after an intervention from his ex-wife Jennifer Garner - with whom he has children Violet, 12, Seraphina, nine, and Samuel, six - and it's said she is "glad" he's now in a "safe place" where he can get the right help.
The source added to E! News: "He told Jen and was not resistant. He asked her to take him and she wanted to be there for him.
