Australian rapper Iggy Azalea is taking singing lessons so she can contribute more vocals to her new record.
The hip-hop star often works with guest singers on her tracks and she has racked up a star-studded list of collaborators, including Rita Ora, Jennifer Hudson and Britney Spears.
Iggy is workingon a new album called Digital Distortion, a follow-up to 2014 debut The New Classic, and she recently released a snippet of a new song called Team which features her singing.
During a question-and-answer session with fans on Twitter.com, Iggy confirmed it is her voice on the new track and revealed she has been taking lessons to improve her singing.
"I took singing lessons this year and so I was able to experiment with my style of singing more this time around," she writes, and when asked whether her voice can be heard on Team, she adds,
"Yup its (sic) my voice, why thankya (sic)... U (sic) guys just heard the outro. The hook is actual singing."
She adds of the new record, "A lot of songs I haven't officially named yet still... Just done with my recording. Still mixing songs, getting feature vocals etc..."
