ALF star Max Wright dies at 75 after lengthy cancer battle

Max Wright passed away on Wednesday after a 24-year battle with cancer.

He famously played the TV dad on 80's-90's sitcom ALF. News of his death were shared to TMZ by family sources, according to the Daily Mail.

The entertainment outlet reported that the beloved star passed away in his Hermosa Beach, CA home.

The sitcom star is survived by his two children, Daisy and Ben.

He was married to Linda Wright from 1965 until her death from breast cancer in 2017.

The actor was first diagnosed with Lymphoma in 1995. The cancer begins in infection-fighting cells of the immune system.

Sources said that he had been in remission for years following the 1990's diagnosis.

While he was most known for his role as the TV dad, Willie Tanner on ALF (Alien Life Form) he had over 60 credits to his name that date back to 1974.

His ALF co-star Michu Meszaros, who played the title character on the show, passed away after suffering complications from a stroke, in 2016.

Max's last credited role was the 2005 TV movie Back to Norm.

His starred in popular movies such as All That Jazz, Reds, The Sting II, Soul Man and The Shadow.

He also had roles on Buffalo Bill, Cheers, Misfits of Science, Dudley, Norm and had a two episode stint on Friends as Terry the manager of Central Perk.
