Uses mixed coloured kumeras for added appeal.
Ingredients
2 kgs | Kumara (Main) |
2 cups | Grated cheese |
1 cup | Spring onion |
1 cup | Rindless bacon |
Sauce
1 packet | Onion soup mix |
500 ml | Cream |
Directions
- Peel and slice kumeras into 1cm discs, then boil until tender. Layer assorted colours in baking dish. Chop bacon and microwave until cooked then the spring onion. Sprinkle both over the kumeras.
- Mix cream and onion soup mix together and pour over dish. Sprinkle grated cheese over the top.
- Bake 25 mins in 180 C oven. Delicious with steak, roast or casserole.
