A bouquet garni is a bunch of fresh herbs such as thyme, rosemary, parsley and a bay leaf tied together with cotton or string.
Ingredients
| 1 Tbsp | Olive oil |
| 1 | Carrot (Main) |
| 1 | Parsnip (Main) |
| 1 | Onion |
| 3 | Garlic cloves |
| 1 tsp | Paprika |
| 1 tsp | Flour |
| 10 | Boneless chicken thighs (Main) |
| 1 | Bouquet garni |
| 1 to taste | Salt & freshly ground pepper |
| 1 ½ cups | White wine (Main) |
| 250 g | Button mushrooms |
Directions
- Dice and saute bacon in a frying pan, until coloured. Push to one side.
- cube the carrot, parsnip, onion and crush the garlic, add oil to the pan and saute until soft.
- Place in slow cooker.
- Dust chicken with flour and paprika and rub in. Put chicken on vegetables. Add remaining ingredients.
- Cover and cook for five hours on low.
