Ingredients
| 1 cup | Flour |
| 1 to taste | Salt & freshly ground pepper |
| 1 cup | Milk |
| 1 cup | Cornmeal |
| 1 | Egg |
| 16 | Prawns (Main) |
| 1 splash | Vegetable oil |
| 3 Tbsp | Mayonnaise |
| 1 | French stick |
| 1 | Lettuce |
| 2 | Tomatoes, (optional) |
| 4 squeezes | Lemons |
Directions
- Put the flour into a bowl and season. In a second bowl, whisk the milk and egg. Pour the cornmeal into a third. Toss the prawns into the flour, then into the milk and egg mixture and finally the cornmeal.
- Heat a frying pan and cover the base with oil. Cook the prawns over a medium high heat for 30 seconds on each side, depending on size. Transfer to paper towels.
- Cut the French bread into 4 and spread with mayonnaise. Add lettuce and tomatoes then the hot prawns and a squeeze of lemon.
