If black beans with chilli are unavailable add a little chilli paste to the mixture.
Ingredients
1 can | Black beans, with chilli, 425g (Main) |
2 Tbsp | Lime juice |
1 Tbsp | Extra virgin olive oil |
2 cloves | Garlic |
½ cup | Mixed nuts, chopped, raw eg. almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts (Main) |
1 sprinkle | Chopped coriander, to garnish |
1 sprinkle | Chopped walnuts, to garnish |

Directions
- Drain the black beans, reserving a little of the liquid.
- Place the beans in a food processor with the lime juice, olive oil, garlic and nuts. Season with flaky sea salt to taste. Pulse until a paste is formed. If too thick add 2-3 tablespoons of the reserved liquid.
- Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Garnish. Great served with veggie crisps.
