Russian dressing
| 1 Tbsp | Tomato sauce |
| ⅓ cup | Mayonnaise |
| 1 tsp | Creamed horseradish |
| 1 tsp | Lemon juice |
Ingredients
| 2 Tbsp | Butter, softened |
| 8 slices | Rye bread (Main) |
| 8 slices | Swiss cheese |
| 2 | Gherkins, or more according to taste, thinly sliced |
| 200 g | Pastrami (Main) |
| 200 g | Sauerkraut |
Directions
- Combine the dressing ingredients together and season with salt and pepper.
- Butter each slice of bread. Top four with slices of Swiss cheese, then gherkin.
- Cover generously with pastrami and sauerkraut then spoon over the dressing and top with the remaining slices of rye.
