One of the most fabulous things about summer is all the fresh seasonal produce that abounds in this glorious land. It’s so easy to eat local, eat seasonal and eat fresh. It’s an instant boost for mind and body as we pick our veges from the garden, catch our own fish and frequent the farmers’ markets. That’s a heap of feelgood right there.
With such an abundance of fresh fruit, veg and herbs available, an infused water is a great way to keep hydrated in the heat. Infused waters don’t have magical properties but they keep us away from sugary canned drinks and healthy looking (but calorie-laden) juices and smoothies. Infused waters are fun to experiment with and make, and, if that were not enough, they look really pretty. You can invest in special kit if you want, like a water infuser bottle, but you don’t need to. You just need a regular water bottle or jug and a little bit of creativity.
