Tight 5 cheese scones

Crouch, touch, pause and engage in these super yummy cheese scones. The pinch of cayenne pepper will keep everyone on their game.
Makes 3 tight 5s
2 cups flour
Pinch cayenne pepper
2 heaped tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ tsp celery salt
25g butter
1 cup grated tasty cheese (plus extra handful for topping)
1 cup trim milk
Optional:
Marmite and/or mayonnaise for icing
Piping bag
- Heat oven to 180C. Cover a baking tray with baking paper.
- Mix flour, cayenne pepper, baking powder, salt and celery salt in a bowl. Rub in butter with fingertips so mixture looks like grains of sand. Mix in cheese.
- Pour in milk and mix to a soft dough ball.
- Place dough on to floured board. Break off pieces (golf ball size) and roll into balls.
- To create the tight 5, line 3 balls up (side by side), then 2 balls behind. Repeat the process for the second tight 5.
- Sprinkle with cheese and bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Put a generous spoonful of marmite in a piping bag. Snip a small triangle off the bottom and pipe on the numbers. Use mayonnaise for the second tight 5.

Makes 6
1¼ cups oats
¼ cup honey
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup mashed, ripe banana (about 2 bananas)
1 egg
Handful pumpkin seeds
2 handfuls raisins or chopped dried apricots
Generous pinch lemon zest
¼ cup flour
½ tsp baking soda
Pinch salt
Optional
1 cup melted chocolate
Piping bag
- Heat oven to 180C. Grease a 8 x 8cm baking tin with a bit of butter.
- In a mixing bowl combine oats, honey, oil, and vanilla.
- Add mashed banana, egg, seeds, raisins and lemon zest to oat mixture, stir until combined.
- Add flour, baking soda and salt then mix.Spread mixture evenly in greased baking tin.
- Bake for 25 minutes (or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean). Once cool, cut out oblong rugby ball shapes.
- If you wish, put some melted chocolate into a piping bag, snip the bottom and pipe on rugby ball detail (outline and laces).

All Black smoothie

Making a smoothie should be a set piece in any kitchen, but however it rolls you’ll score big time with friends and family when you whip up this All Black smoothie.
Serves 3
1 cup melted chocolate
Piping bag
1 Tbsp AquaGold black cocoa (or use premium dark cocoa)
3 medjool dates, soaked in water for 5 minutes, pits removed
1½ cups trim milk
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 handful spinach
Place all ingredients in the blender (don’t forget to put the lid on, otherwise there will be a blackout!) and blend until smooth.
