ANZ Bank is working to fix a technical glitch which has caused all of its major services to be disabled tonight.

The bank's internet banking service, goMoney app and ATMs all went down at about 8.15pm.

Customers were not able to pay for anything via Eftpos transactions either, as that too was down.

A spokesman told the Herald the bank's technical team was currently working hard to fix the issue.


Spokesman Stefan Herrick said ANZ's goMoney app and internet banking has since been restored, but said people may have to be patient as there would now be a lot of traffic on those services.

"We're still working on the other services and hope to have it fixed as soon as possible,'' Mr Herrick said.

"We'd just really like to apologise to all our customers who have been inconvenienced by this.''
