Kodak to cut 1800 jobs

Photography icon Eastman Kodak will cut a further 1800 to 2200 jobs, or about 3 per cent of its global work force.

The cuts were announced as the world's largest photography company reported a profit for the fourth quarter that fell short of Wall Street's expectations.

Kodak earned US$113 million ($209 million) in the fourth quarter compared with a loss of US$206 million a year earlier.

Sales edged up 2 per cent to US$3.44 billion in the quarter.
