International ready-to-cook delivery company HelloFresh has launched in New Zealand.
The Berlin-based company offers a wide range of home cooked dinners with a different approach to recipe development.
Tom Rutledge, HelloFresh Australia & New Zealand CEO, said they were looking forward to offering Kiwi customers a new meal kit experience.
"We're very enthusiastic about bringing HelloFresh to New Zealand, mainly because we will be working directly with the Kiwi produce that we know to be the envy of the world. Beyond that, our NZ customers are going to have a very direct say in the recipes we send and what works for them the most at dinnertime," Rutledge said.
The company, which also operates in the UK, United States, Australia and other countries in Europe, has tailored its popular service to satisfy Kiwi demands, with local produce at the heart of their meals.
• Customers confirm orders online or in the app by Wednesday midnight, to receive delivery of a box on a day of their choice (the following Saturday, Monday or Tuesday).
• Customers receive the recipes and pre-portioned ingredients for main meals in a box delivered to their door.
• The three-box offerings include free delivery. Delivery is initially available in selected areas of the North Island.
• Home cooks need to provide some basic pantry items such as oils and flour but, otherwise, everything else is in the boxes.
