Nick Grayston, group chief executive of The Warehouse Group, told the Herald last year when Kasbe was appointed that he would develop ways for customers to access the company's offerings.
Part of his role included responsibility for supply chain and fulfilment.
"With Timothy's world-class skills and such a great team, our aspiration is to provide world-class platforms in information, digital and fulfilment to take us into the future," Grayston said last year.
"Timothy's appointment will ensure [The Warehouse] effectively connects customers with products, knowledge and services and everything the group's many brands provide."
Earlier in the year The Washington Post found Kasbe had taken a wealthy Russian entrepreneur with links to Vladimir Putin to Donald Trump's inauguration.
It also revealed he donated $150,000 to Trump's inaugural committee.
In May The Warehouse announced to the NZX changes to its executive team, appointing Michelle Anderson as chief digital officer.
