Deutsche Boerse, operator of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, plans to bid for the London Stock Exchange to form an exchange worth £4 billion ($13 billion), says a British report.
The Boerse's chief executive, Werner Seifert, is understood to have told shareholders about the plans and will soon approach LSE chief executive Clara Furse. Goldman Sachs Group bankers are said to be working on the deal.
