Baldwins goes it alone

Intellectual property law firm Baldwins, formerly Baldwin Shelston Waters, has split from its Australian partner after just six years.

Baldwins chair Philip Thoreau said costs had outweighed the benefits.

Other issues such as a changing legislative environment in the two markets had made transtasman dealings complex and difficult.
