Apple Fields settles orchard sale

Apple Fields finally has an agreement with Tower Trust to settle the sale of the former Noble orchard site at Yaldhurst, near Christchurch.

The final portion of the company's interest-bearing debt will be paid off as a result of the settlement, says managing director Tom Kain.

The settlement will also end a five-year period in which executive time has been spent working on the company's day-to-day survival, he says.
