Air NZ boosts domestic flights

Air New Zealand is to boost the number of domestic flights on its Air New Zealand Link services.

Additional flights between Christchurch and Invercargill, Hamilton and Dunedin will start on July 29.

The flights will be operated by Air New Zealand's unit, Mount Cook Airline.

Mount Cook Airline's general manager, Peter O'Regan, said the additional services had been scheduled in response to demand.

He said a leased aircraft will meet the extra capacity requirements until the airline takes delivery of a new ATR aircraft in December.

Air New Zealand shares were unchanged at 41 cents in early trading this morning, having fetched between 38 cents and 64 cents over the past 12 months.
