Aetna name disappearing

Aetna Health customers will officially become members of the Southern Cross Medical Care Society from December 1.

At the same time, the Aetna name will be withdrawn from the New Zealand market.

Premiums are unaffected.

The change follows the purchase of Aetna by Southern Cross in 2001.
