Wakatu Incorporation-owned Abel Tasman Adventures is to partner up with Abel Tasman Wilson's Experiences Ltd.
Abel Tasman Adventures operates two brands, Abel Tasman Kayaks and Ocean River.
Wakatu Incorporation chief executive Keith Palmer said the strategic marketing and administration alliance would consolidate both companies' interests in Abel Tasman National Park.
"Quite apart fromour commercial interests in the park, we both have an interest in the protection and sustainability of quality experiences in the park and its environs," Mr Palmer said.
Abel Tasman Wilson's Experiences would take over management of the partnership, using a centralised booking system, he said.
General manager Darryl Wilson said combining the knowledge and experience of the two companies would mean they could continue to show visitors the best of the park.
Abel Tasman Adventures general manager Shelley Skinner said she was confident the alliance would strengthen the sea-kayaking industry in the region, as well as becoming a key player in the regional tourism industry.
