The nation's amateur body builders will be bronzed and buffed this weekend to find out who's the firmest, the most limber and the most muscle-bound.
The stage will also be graced by event organiser and Te Atatu-based body builder, Moe Elmoussawi, although he won't be vying for a title. Mr Elmoussawi
0 placing in the 2008 Mr Olympia event but, because of his professional status, will not be competing.
Dental assistant Suraya Dewing, 40, will compete in the senior figure event. The Te Atatu Peninsula resident has further conditioned her form since these photographs were taken and hopes to do better than the second place she was awarded last year.
Jo Stewart is a professional body builder who, like Mr Elmoussawi, will not be competing.
The New Zealand National Figure 2009, Fitness Bodybuilding Championships is at Logan Campbell Centre, ASB Showgrounds, on October 10.
