Farmers Queen Street to open

Retailer takes over ‘light and airy’ space in former Whitcoulls store on Queen St.

Farmers will return to the CBD on Thursday when the new Queen Street store officially opens to the public.

The retailer takes over the former Whitcoulls store, which has moved into the Little High St arcade.

The store had been designed to specifically cater for its inner-city customers, offering some of the company's more boutique brands, with products targeting professionals and students.

The store will offer the widest range of hosiery at any Farmers, as well as a huge range of beauty and accessories on the ground floor.

Design features include a chandelier made of glass sails and a pair of Swarovski crystal mannequins by the escalators.

The 19m-tall Santa was also returning to its home on top of the building, and would be up by Friday.
