Trust House has appointed a new chief executive with the news that incumbent Bernard Teahan is stepping down.
Allan Pollard, the current general manager of operations, has been appointed to replace Mr Teahan from the end of March next year.
Mr Pollard said yesterday he was "delighted" to be appointed.
He brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having worked as national operations manager for the Melbourne company Delaware North and also as general manager of the Airport Hotel in Wellington.
The Scotsman recently completed an MBA from Massey University, and said he was excited by his new challenge.
"I'm delighted to be appointed CEO by the trust, and I'm looking forward to continuing the good work which Bernard has completed," he said.
"I'm looking forward to the challenge and working with the boards on strong sustainable strategies, which can deliver profits back in to the community."
Trust House chairman Brian Bourke said the appointment made a lot of sense in terms of Mr Pollard's credentials and the opportunity to benefit from continuity in the organisation.
"Mr Pollard has been with Trust House since his appointment as general manager of operations in September 2003. "He is very knowledgeable about Trust House and the trusts, and well known and respected in the trust communities."
Mr Pollard is a keen triathlete who regularly competes in multi-sports and cycling.
He is married to Kelli and the couple have two sons, Harrison and Jamie, and live in Masterton.
