Gold Coast have confirmed the signing of Canterbury star Jamal Idris for the next five NRL seasons.
The barnstorming centre rejected deals from the Bulldogs and cashed-up Newcastle, who on Tuesday announced they had snared supercoach Wayne Bennett on a four-year deal.
The Titans offer, believed to be in the region of $A1.8 million, also includes plans for a television program starring Idris and an indigenous ambassadorial role.
