Firefighters were called out to a bedroom fire in a West Auckland suburb this evening
Six fire trucks were sent to Durrant Place in New Lynn about 5.30pm.
One was still at the scene shortly before 8pm.
"There was a bedroom fire ... we're still sort of cleaning up out there," a northern fire communications spokesman said this evening.

Glen Eden station officer Greg Armstrong said it was lucky a woman came home from work and discovered the fire when she did, the Western Leader reported.
Mr Armstrong told the Western Leader an electric blanket was believed to have caused cause of the fire.
