A Dunedin jet boat driver will be charged over a fatal accident near Wanaka last year.
English doctor Paul Woods was killed in December when the jet boat he was in hit a gravel bank and flipped on the Matukituki River.
President of Jet Boating New Zealand Jeff Donaldson was driving.
He will face a charge of operating a vessel in a manner that caused unnecessary danger or risk.
The charge is being brought by Maritime New Zealand and is expected to be laid in the Queenstown District Court within the next month.
