A nose-to-tail crash on the Harbour Bridge has caused delays for motorists today.
Fire Service spokesman Scott Osmond said one crew attended the incident in the southbound lane on the bridge about 11.50am today.
He said there were reports of smoke coming from the car but it was just the airbag.
The service only attended the incident "very briefly", he said.
New Zealand Transport Agency said the incident blocked one lane resulting in building queues on the bridge.
It tweeted the crash had been cleared at 12.20pm.
"Crash Update: Now cleared S-Bnd on #Auckland Hrbr Bridge. Queus back to Tristram Ave #AklTraffic".
St John spokeswoman Victoria Hawkins said two people were injured in the four-car pile up.
Three ambulances attended the incident about 11.30am, she said.
Two patients - one in a serious condition and one with moderate injuries - were transported to Auckland Hospital, she said.
