Supporters of George Speight stand outside the Korovou Police Station where up to 30 hostages are being held. Villagers of Korovou, about an hour's drive from Suva, seized rifles from soldiers manning roadblocks and set up barricades of their own to seal off the town. They took hostages, including policemen, and are holding them at the police station. Despite the unrest, the military have no plans to intervene to release the hostages.
