Cinema chain Hoyts has launched it's first reclining cinema in Auckland's Wairau Park, the first of its kind in the country.
Hoyts Group chief executive Damian Keogh said he was thrilled to bring a new cinema experience to New Zealand.
"We have seen great results and high customer satisfaction from our already rolled out recliner locations in Australia. We are thrilled to now be introducing this offer to New Zealand as part of our ambition to continue delivering great value and experiences for guests, every day of the week," he said.
All auditoriums now feature powered recliners, a table and a cup holder.
Hoyts Wairau Park, located on Auckland's North Shore, has been undergoing refurbishment in recent months.
There are no additional costs to standard ticket prices.
Hoyts began in 1909 and is Australasia's largest movie exhibitor with more than 400 screens and 75,000 seats across its network.
