The tallest man in the world holds a triple crown in Guinness World Records.
At 2.47m, Sultan Kosen, a 27-year-old from Turkey, towers over former Chinese record holder Bao Xi Shun, who is 2.36m.
Mr Kosen grew normally until he was 10, when his growth rate accelerated because of atumour - since removed - that caused a condition called pituitary gigantism which affects hormone production and results in extreme growth, thickening of bones and large extremities.
Mr Kosen's hands are 27.5cm long and his feet 36.5cm - both Guinness records. The condition means he has difficulty walking.
His titles were confirmed in London yesterday, where the giant revealed his hopes for a romantic future.
"My biggest dream is to get married and have children - I'm looking for love."
