A small commercial jet was forced to make a risking landing after failing to deploy landing gear.

The jet landed at Palm Springs airport in California after circling in the air to burn off fuel as a precautionary measure.

Footage shows the jet sliding across the ground before coming to a halt. Emergency services immediately descend to blast water on the aircraft.
